Title:
LCD monitor attached to laptop flickers

Status in “gnome-control-center” package in Ubuntu:
  Expired

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: gnome-control-center

During Testcase: http://testcases.qa.ubuntu.com/Hardware/GFX/ExternalPrimary on my laptop ( HP-G62), after having connected my laptop to an external Acer AL1715 LCD monitor, and having disabled the laptop monitor, the image on the Acer LCD monitor stared flickering in a quite unbearable way.
Before disabling the laptop monitor, the image on both the LCD monitor and the laptop one was fine.
