[Bug 840176] Re: no sidebar novigation anywhere except for home page.

It isn't "what we've come to expect of an online store experience".
Previous versions of USC didn't have it, the Android Market doesn't have
it (it has categories on category screens, but not application screens),
the Mac App Store doesn't have it.

How it would detract from the experience is obvious: it would take up a
large chunk of screen width. That may not look important while
categories and subcategories still use list views, but it will once they
switch to a tile view.

Title:
no sidebar novigation anywhere except for home page.

Status in “software-center” package in Ubuntu:
  Won't Fix

Bug description:
  Ubuntu 11.10
  Software Centre 4.1.21

Category sidebar is only available on main page. Any subsequent page
shows only content with no navigation. To navigate you must use back
  or forward buttons.

No way to go directly from 'Accessories' category to 'System' for
example. You must first click 'back', or 'All Software' to reveal the
categories sidebar again. As per attached screenshot
