Title:
network-manager failed to handshake with WPA
Status in “network-manager” package in Ubuntu:
New
Bug description:
After an update on 16 Sept 2011, my wireless cannot connect normally with the wireless AP which is encrypted with WPA-PSK. For some reason, I manage to detect that the bug is located within network-manager. How to reproduce the situation:
1) Boot up laptop
2) Network-manager asking for AP passphrase
3) Network-manager will ask again for the AP passphrase
4) After few times, it will state the connection as failed.
The log attached is from syslod.
Temporarily, my workaround for this situation is by stopping the
network-manager service and then connect manually to the AP by using
wpa_supplicant. As far as I know the passphrase I used on
wpa_supplicant.conf is the same as what I entered when network manager
requested for one. So, by looking at the log - it does state that the
passphrase might be incorrect?
Details on my system:
Linux GunB0X 3.0.0-11-generic #18-Ubuntu SMP Tue Sep 13 23:29:47 UTC 2011 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux
