Re: [Bug 376490] Re: [ooo-build] OpenOffice writer imposes font size in character style

Hi Christopher.

I have tried again and the issue still lives on LibreOffice Writer for
Ubuntu 11.04 amd64. The about dialog of my installation says:

LibreOffice 3.3.3
> OOO330m19 (Build:301)
> tag libreoffice-3.3.3.1, Ubuntu package 1:3.3.3-1ubuntu2

Title:
[ooo-build] OpenOffice writer imposes font size in character style

Status in The OpenOffice.org Suite:
  New
Status in “libreoffice” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete
Status in “openoffice.org” package in Ubuntu:
  Won't Fix

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: openoffice.org-writer

When defining a character style, OpenOffice.org Writer imposes the
character style when Font tab is actived.

For example. You want to create a new character style for technical
computer words in Mono-spaced font. In Styles and formating window,
create a new style. The Character style dialog opens. In Organizer tab
you write the style's name (let's say Listing). The Contains section
is empty. Everything is well. But when you moves to the Font tab and
returns to the Organizer tab, the font size is imposed, but you only
want to define the font-family for the new style and keep the size of
each word you apply that style. I have not found a way to remove the
  size.

This problem happens in Ubuntu 8.10 and 9.04. In OpenOffice for MacOSX
and Windows, the Character Style dialog works fine.
