  gnome-settings-daemon crashed with signal 5 in _XError()

Status in “gnome-settings-daemon” package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
  Been crashing regularly upon new login, followed by a train of
  additional crashing notifications until eventually I lose mouse
  control and am forced to restart. Initially it occurred after a fresh
  upgrade from 11.04, and then I did a fresh install and the same series
  of crashes came up. Thanks!
