Message #18630
[Bug 718602] Re: Software center crashes on apt://xxx link
Thanks for this report, and sorry for the slow response.
With Ubuntu Software Center 4.1.23.3 open, I just clicked on every link
in <http://hacktolive.org/wiki/Super_OS_repository>. In every case it
navigated to the appropriate screen (a "Not found" screen for many of
them), and it didn't crash at all.
If you still experience the problem, please provide the error message:
1. close Ubuntu Software Center, if it's open already
2. enter the command "software-center" in a Terminal window
3. trigger the error
4. copy any error output from the Terminal window, and paste it into this bug report.
Thanks.

Title:
Software center crashes on apt://xxx link
Status in “software-center” package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
Binary package hint: software-center
Hello,
Invalid apt-link in a HTML document.
When I click an apt-link that has invalid package name, the software
center crashes. Sometimes it works right and the software-center
dialog appears and reports that the "package was not found". In most
cases the dialog simply crashes and vanishes.
Create a HTML document and add invalid apt-link. Then click on it. Eg.
apt://flashplugin-installer2
