It's not just florence: the same behavior occurs with cellwriter's
onscreen keyboard.

Onboard works correctly, however.

  Confirmed

Bug description:
  When using florence virtual keyboard with firefox 5 in natty, results
  changing in the location bar prevent keypresses being received on
  first press.  The second press of the key works.  The issue goes away
  if you disable suggestions in the location bar.
