Bug description:
  I was doing an 'aptitude update; aptitude safe-upgrade' from the
  command line when the error happened.  Libre Office was a part of the
  upgrade.  Commenting out the 3rd-party repos and running 'apt-get -f
  install' didn't fix the problem.
