[Bug 853878] Re: on live session, hot plugged wired connection failed to start automatically

I think this is driver-specific, really doesn't happen on any system
I've tried; reassigning to 'linux'.

Maybe there's something that changed in carrier-detection.

** Package changed: network-manager (Ubuntu) => linux (Ubuntu)

Title:
on live session, hot plugged wired connection failed to start
  automatically

Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  Ubuntu Desktop 20110918

  TEST CASE
  1. disconnect the network cable
  2. boot to a live session
  3. connect the network cable

  result:
Wired network fails to start, corresponding entries in nm-applet are grayed and indicates that wired network is disabled.
Uncheck/check "enable networking" to make wired network work.
