[Bug 752952] Re: package installation in software center halts if it needs user input (e.g. database password)

*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 701257 ***
    https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/701257

I tried reproducing this bug with trunk r2404 in Ubuntu 11.10 beta.

I went to <http://www.open-emr.org/download.shtml>, downloaded the
Ubuntu/debian Package, opened it, and chose Install.

Part-way through the installation, a pair of Debconf prompts appeared
for me to enter and confirm the database password. So, it probably isn't
the database password that's the problem.

But then the installation did get stuck. These are exactly the same
symptoms as bug 701257, so I'm marking this as a duplicate.

Title:
package installation in software center halts if it needs user input
  (e.g. database password)

Status in “software-center” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: software-center

I am trying to install OpenEMR software via .deb package downloaded
from their website. The installation hangs with "Applying changes"
message and I am sure it's waiting for user input of database
password. but, software center doesn't provide any way for me to
  provide that input.
