[Bug 845660] Re: Network manager not responding to button presses

 

This is likely due to leaks in nm-applet or libappindicator; those were
worked around in the new version available in Oneiric.

As a workaround, you can stop nm-applet and start it again:

killall nm-applet
nm-applet &

  When I click on my network icon, it appears to be working but none of the buttons that I try to click on from the dropdown do anything.

  Workaround: sudo service network-manager restart
  Caveat: the workaround works for about a day.
