Title:
  Mobile broadband reconnection fails

Status in “network-manager” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
Scenario: Connected to cellular broadband connection: connection
  drops, automatic reconnection starts.

  Expected result: Connection re-establishes.
Actual result: Same as Expected result, OR NM forgets that it has a saved password and repeatedly prompts for password. No input password will validate, connection eventually drops due to failed authentication. Subsequent reconnection attempts (manual and automatic) result in same behavior. Error persists through disconnection/reconnection (replug) of wireless device (Moto RAZR V3C in this case). Restart of NM (or reboot) required to establish new connection. Identical issue on second system, same arch/versions installed, but otherwise drastically different hardware aside from phone.

  Ubuntu Version: Ubuntu 10.04.3 LTS
  Kernel 2.6.32-33-generic AMD64
  network-manager version 0.8-0ubuntu3.2
  modemmanager version 0.3-0ubuntu2.2
