[Bug 840971] Re: volume changes work correctly but the OSD always shows full volume and "plips" at the same level

 

I am experiencing what is probably the same problem, except that it
always shows as if it was muted, instead of at full volume.

Bug description:
  The volume controls on this machine work fine, but the visual feedback
  OSD display always shows the highest value and "plips" at the same
  highest volume indication.
