This was a workaround due to a bug in compiz.  After deja-dup 20.0 is
released next week, this will be fixed.  (though it will show in the
launcher, not the top panel)

  Backup (Deja Dup) on Ubuntu 11.10 opens a backup window when auto
  backup kicks in and interferes with desktop usage

Bug description:
  I was using the Unity desktop on my Ubuntu 11.10 install this morning
  which has a daily backup to my Ubuntu One account enabled. As the
  machine was shut down last night the backup kicked in within a minute
  or two but opened a backup window right in the middle of my desktop.
  This operation should be silent in the background and a notification
  should be given when the operation has completed. It would also be
  nice if it was integrated into the top panel like Time Machine on Macs
  and would indicate to the user that a backup was taking place even if
  the Unity dock was hidden.

  In short, the program should maximise itself when the backup kicks in
  and interfere with the users work.
