  Software Centre is stuck half way through installing flash player

Status in “software-center” package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: software-center

  Restarting does not affect the situation. I am unable to install
  anything, as the installer is stuck. Waiting does not seem to advance
  the progress bar any.
