[Bug 818413] Re: WLAN disassociates after a few seconds when IPv6 is enabled

Confirmed, but we've fixed most if not all issues with IPv6 in Oneiric
(with the notable exception of bug 856209 for static IPs); closing as
Fix Released.

** Changed in: network-manager (Ubuntu)
       Status: New => Fix Released

Title:
WLAN disassociates after a few seconds when IPv6 is enabled

Status in “network-manager” package in Ubuntu:
  Fix Released

Bug description:
This happens with the standard kernels that are pushed for 11.04 and
up to 3.0, I did not try all the RC builds.

If only IPv4 is connected, there is no problem connecting to an AP, but when IPv6 is set to automatic you might be able to connect the first time. But on subsequent reboots the WLAN associates and then i de-associates right away.
The workaround, is to delete the SSID from the network-manager, then add it again, associate with IPv4 only. Then enable IPv6 and associate again. This usually works, and then it will work until a couple of reboots have happend again.

I have verified this with 2 different AP's which uses different WLAN
chipset vendors, I tought it was my AP's at first, but since one
worked and the other did not. But when I enabled the IPv6 on the 2nd
network, I can see it happens with both AP's.

I attached this bug to the network-manager, not sure if this is the right package. I have no idea what to collect of information, would dmesg logs be interesting etc?
If anybody can tell me what needs to be collected, I will collect and provide that info.
