  wpa_supplicant panics on shutdown

Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  During shutdown wpa_supplicant panics and puts the cpu into a fault
  condition. The machine does not continue to shutdown and is
  unresponsive. The only way to recover is to remove the battery (in the
  case of a laptop). This is an intermittent occurence.
