[Bug 466886] Re: "No network connection" when IPv6 is enabled in Network Manager

Closing as Fix Released; we've done tons of work on IPv6 in Oneiric and
things should largely work. Any testing if of course more than welcome.

The only issue I'm aware of that's left for now is setting the default
route with static IP settings, but all of autoconfiguration and DHCPv6
appears to work properly. The other is due to be fixed incessantly :)

** Changed in: network-manager (Ubuntu)
       Status: New => Fix Released

Title:
"No network connection" when IPv6 is enabled in Network Manager

Status in “network-manager” package in Ubuntu:
  Fix Released

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: network-manager

As opposed to #435073, this is when IPv6 is set to 'Automatic'
manually, rather than what happens during/after an upgrade from
  Jaunty.

If IPv6 is enabled in Network Manager and set to Auto the Network
Manager icon will say "no network connection" and applications that
check it to find out if there is an Internet connection (Pidgin,
Ubuntu One) will refuse to connect even though there is a valid IPv4
  connection available.

In addition, on boot the system will not obtain an IPv4 address until
  dhclient is run manually.

After manually running dhclient I can browse through Swiftweasle and
ping hosts, so I know the connection is good, however Network Manager
  still says "no network connection."
