thank you for your bug report, the issue is deprecated in Oneiric where
the audio preview feature has been dropped

  Not all media files like Matroska files (mkv) no longer have a
  preview, this also includes mp4, avi, etc.

  Not all media files have a preview in nautilus file manager. For
  instance some avi files have a preview of movie but certain ones
  don't. This was a problem with Ubuntu 10.04.
