[Bug 591936] Re: Automake not in any category under Developer Tools department (in Ubuntu Software Center)

For Automake to end up in a subcategory, here's what would need to happen. Either:
a. Devise an appropriate Debian Section value for it and related packages
b. Apply that Section value to automake and related packages.

Or:
a. Get bug 57418 fixed in Launchpad.
b. Devise, and apply, an appropriate debtag for automake and related packages.

Then:
c. Get the new subcategory implemented in USC, with appropriate icon and name.

Title:
Automake not in any category under Developer Tools department (in
  Ubuntu Software Center)

Status in “software-center” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: automake1.7

In Ubuntu Software Center, in departments that have a large number of
packages, the list is categorized into sub-departments. Developer
Tools makes use of subldepartments (e.g., IDEs, Java, Libraries,
Version Control) but Automake is not in any of the subdepartments.

Automake is selectable in the full list of packages:
Ubuntu Software Center -> Get Software
    Select Developer Tools department
Automake is one of the packages in list of 1,866 packages.

Though one can search for automake (entering it in the search field in
the top-right search field), shouldn't it be in one of the sub-
  department / categories?
