[Bug 852159] Re: [Thinkpad x201] Regression - Wireless networking doesn't work in Oneiric, but does in Natty

I fixed the issue by purging Network-Manager, rebooting and installing
Network-Manager again, and hashing out /etc/network/interfaces setting.
All working now.

Title:
[Thinkpad x201] Regression - Wireless networking doesn't work in
  Oneiric, but does in Natty

Status in “network-manager” package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
This seems to be a regression on my x201 from Natty to Oneiric. I'm
running the latest daily ISO of Oneiric 64bit with the latest updates
  as of 16 Sept.

I can turn the ethernet connection on and off at will, but while
network manager shows three different wireless access points, nothing
happens when I click on them. Nada... I didn't notice anything wonky
in the logs (admittedly only with a cursory look though syslog).
Wireless works fine in Natty. In fact, I'm dual booting this system
right now with Natty and Oneiric and wireless is working in one but
  not the other.

I'm opening this up against network-manager for now, because the
wireless card IS on and seems to at least be detecting APs, but
clicking on them in the NM applet doesn't actually cause the system to
  connect.
