[Bug 496789] Re: Nautilus rename mode is broken.

I can reproduce this bug in Ubuntu 11.04, Nautilus 2.32.2.1, Classic
Gnome (with effects), default theme.

Steps to reproduce.

Open nautilus window.
Right click on a file, select Rename...
Click somewhere in the file folder name to edit.
Press DEL key to remove the character next to the cursor location.
Press enter.
A dialog stating the file can not be renamed appears. The file/folder dissapears.
File can be restored from trash, provided it has not been flushed.

This is a serious bug that can produce loss of data.

Could this be related to
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nautilus/+bug/61240 ?

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: yelp

Nautilus rename mode is broken. When during rename you press delete button to delete character or selected few characters the file (or folder) you are trying to rename is deleted instead. So far, I've been able to find deleted items in Trash and restore them.
When renaming with cut & paste or printing characters everything is fine.
