Status in “gnome-settings-daemon” package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
  Upgraded to Ubuntu 11.10, and recieved an error report stating that
  the system was not working properly. Reinstalled Ubuntu 10.04 or 11.04
  (not sure which of them i have on my dvd), and went to the update
  manager to install the upgraded version of Ubuntu. Before I started
  the upgrade, I checked for updates but there weren't any.
