Bug description:

  I think it's a different bug than #355112 so I'm filing it separately, feel free to mark it as duplicate if it is.
  Lucid i386, firefox 3.6+nobinonly-0ubuntu1, ubufox 0.8-0ubuntu1.

  Recently (about a week?) I was left with only ask.com as my search provider.
   * Moving .mozilla to .mozilla-bak makes no difference.
   * Removing ubufox makes the other search providers visible again.
   * Reinstalling ubufox hides them again and only ask.com remains.
