Title:
  thunderbird always resets to maximized when restored

Status in “thunderbird” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  To reproduce:

  1. Run Thunderbird and set it to non-maximized.
  2. Minimize it.
  3. Click on the laucher icon to restore the window.

  When restored, Thunderbird is in a maximized window - but it should
  retain the state it had when it was minimized.

  This happens in both unity-2d on a VM and unity-3d on my main machine.

  Additionally, on my unity-3d desktop, if I leave Thunderbird maximized
  and then minimize/restore it, it re-appears behind the unity launcher
  (which is set to never hide) instead of to the right-hand side of it.
