Re: [Bug 856243] Re: Rhythmbox freezes after selcting "pause"
Hello
I downloaded kubuntu-debug-installer-dbug. This took quite while but it
doesn't show up. In particular it doesn't appear in Ubuntu Software
Centre>Installed software even after rebooting. I also ran all the
accumulated updates today.
One curious thing is that in More Apps>Installed>Rhythmbox Player there
is a 15 second fragment from a CD which I had tested to see if it
replayed after pausing. This fragment did start after being paused.
However, under Most Frequently Used>Rhythmbox Player the fragment does
not appear and the player freezes after pausing.
A pobably unrelated problem is that the BBC iplayer app does not open up
Linux or the Emulator.
Can someone run my setup remotely to see what they can discover or "walk
me through" the debugging process etc?
Best wishes
Roger

Title:
Rhythmbox freezes after selcting "pause"
Status in “rhythmbox” package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
Rhythm Box
* Ctrl space bar pauses but freezes the player, i.e. Ctrl space bar again, or anything else, won't start play again.
* Top line is greyed out and once pause is selected the player freezes. Moving to different tracks only works for a time (maybebecause I've used the pause button).
Emulator
Why can't I select Windows Media Player. It can't "see" the CD: "no
disc in drive D."
It may help you to know that I mostly use CDs with rhythm sections
recorded as backing, or CD's, with rhythm sections I've made myself
using Band in a Box. Also when I play "conventional" CD's, the player
can't find Artists or Genres.
