Title:
Empty installed view pane after clearing search

Status in “software-center” package in Ubuntu:
  In Progress

Bug description:
Software Center version 4.1.23.6, Ubuntu Oneiric

  To reproduce:

Choose the Installed View, and start typing letters into the search
bar until you get no results. Now slowly start backspacing to remove
characters from the search bar and notice that the empty search screen
never goes away, even when you get to an empty search bar.

  What should happen:

As you backspace in the search bar, the view should fill in with valid
search results as it finds them. Once the search bar is cleared, you
should see the full set of installed items.
