Message #24599
[Bug 649809] Re: the session settings manager can try starting before the login screen one exits
Is there any way, an ordinary user experiencing this bug could provide
enough information to resolve the problem? The bug seems random in
nature, so it must be some kind of a race condition, but still I have a
feeling it should be easy to fix (although I do not know linux/ubuntu
well enough to provide a fix).

Bug description:
On recent configurations it can happen that the session settings
manager try starting before the login screen one exit leading to have
no theme set in the session (nor other settings gnome-settings-daemon
is applying to the user configuration)
The .xsession-errors log contains that error on configuration hitting
the issue:
"** (gnome-settings-daemon:1941): WARNING **: You can only run one
xsettings manager at a time; exiting"
