  Random segmentation fault in thunderbird

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: thunderbird

  Thunderbird 3.1.8+build3+nobinonly-0ubuntu0.10.04.1 segfaults several
  times a day for several persons in our office, but not everybody. We
  are all running Lucid Lynx 10.04.2 LTS. The crashes seem to be random
  and don't appear to be linked to a particular activity or task. It
  might be of interest that we are using ldap, I know that ldap has been
  a problem with thunderbird in the past.

  I attached gdb to thunderbird and got the following error and
  backtrace:
