I am using the default greeter (unity?).
However it does appear to have been fixed in a recent update. It is
working OK now.

Bug description:
when lightdm loads up, I have a blinking cursor in the password field,
suggesting it should have focus. However it doesn't actually have
focus and I still have to click in the password field with the mouse
before I can type my password.
