after installing latest updates, issue is resolved. software-centre (and
all other programs) open and run perfectly fine! :)

  software-center opens then just closes very quickly.

Bug description:
  Well if i run software-center (either from command line or from unity)
  it opens, then decides to close before I can do anything with it. The
  reasons i get from the command lines is:
