[Bug 862989] Re: nm-applet don't show available networks for connection

I have this issue as well with nm-applet. Connections set to connect
automatically work, the icon displays correctly (wireless vs wired)
however there is no interface information (wireless networks &
disconnect as well as wired interfaces and disconnect).

All I see across a few reboots is:

Enable Networking (checked)
Enable Wireless (checked)
Connection Information (greyed out)
Edit Connections...

The workaround for me when networks or interfaces are not connecting was
to use the "Edit Connections..." and set that network or interface to
connect automatically.

After an (update-manager) upgrade, nm-applet stopped showing any
network available, I am just able to connect since i have already a
configured connection. (I am connected but it still not showing any
  connection)

(When clicking on icon, it only shows :

  (check)Enable Wireless Network
