[Bug 723476] Re: List view showing "loading" forever when folders have hidden files

This affects our 65 10.04 LTS desktops.

I 've just reproduced this with the live CD:
http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/20110929/oneiric-desktop-amd64.iso

Reproduced by running from the live CD. Small movie attached to
illustrate.

Whether or not it is fixed in 11.10 is not relevant as this affects an
LTS release, correct?

Title:
  List view showing "loading" forever when folders have hidden files

Status in Nautilus:
  Confirmed
Status in “nautilus” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: nautilus

  Steps to recreate the bug:
  - open any nautilus window;
  - make sure you are viewing files as List View;
  - create a folder or go to an empty folder;
  - create one or more hidden files (your call) like ".fileA" inside this folder;
  - go to this folder parent;
  - click on the arrow on the left of this folder name;
  - "loading" won't stop showing up.

  I hope I have made myself clear.

  I tested this on 10.04 and 10.10.
