OK, I have gnome-control-center-1:3.2.0-0ubuntu4 .... Well, the old
problem is fixed, ie. finally i am able to set my "Turn off after" to
"Never" with the setting saved, instead of it reverting back to "1
minute" and the screen dimming immediately without activity. However, it
seems the old problem remains, ie. screen dimming immediately without
activity, when I set it to "Never". Please check again.
