Title:
  sharing service installation has failed

Status in “nautilus-share” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  Description: Ubuntu oneiric (development branch)
  Release: 11.10

  nautilus:
    Installed: 1:3.2.0-0ubuntu5
    Candidate: 1:3.2.0-0ubuntu5
    Version table:
   *** 1:3.2.0-0ubuntu5 0
          500 http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ oneiric/main i386 Packages
          100 /var/lib/dpkg/status

  samba:
    Installed: (none)
    Candidate: 2:3.5.11~dfsg-1ubuntu2
    Version table:
       2:3.5.11~dfsg-1ubuntu2 0
          500 http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ oneiric/main i386 Packages

Expected: the service to be installed successfully and sharing to now
  work.

What happened: got the message "Sharing service installation has
failed. Would you like to retry the installation?" Clicking retry
  just produces the same message

After installing samba through the USC, it seems to work fine (as in,this step is no longer needed, but sharing works).
