applet, it overwrites the value back to 3.

  network-manager-0.9.0-ubuntu3 lost all wireless & VPN settings

Bug description:
  I've updated my system from ubuntu 11.04 to 11.10-beta2. As a consequence of this update, ALL of my wireless and VPN configurations are lost. This means I have to reconfigure all of them again.
