[Bug 863511] Re: NetworkManager does not allow adding an IPv4 network without a gateway
You should be able to move from the network/netmask fields to the
gateway and metric fields and back. In other words, if you just fill in
the first two fields, the Save button should be available... or at least
it is to me when I try now.
Could you please try this again and make sure you don't start entering
anything in gateway, and if you do erase any characters from that field
and move back to the netmask one?
Just trying to figure out if there is a specific use case which allows
to reproduce this issue; marking as Incomplete for now (and reassigning
to network-manager-applet).
** Package changed: network-manager (Ubuntu) => network-manager-applet

Title:
NetworkManager does not allow adding an IPv4 network without a gateway
Status in “network-manager-applet” package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
I want to add the 10.0.1.0/255.255.255.0 network to one of my
interfaces, but I don't want to add a gateway on this network.
NetworkManager does not enable the save button unless there is a
gateway present.
