Title:
list view is showing the wrong number of files/contents
Status in Nautilus:
Unknown
Status in “nautilus” package in Ubuntu:
Triaged
Bug description:
Under certain circumstances Nautilus with a list view shows the
incorrect number of files in a folder in the line summary when viewing
the parent directory. This problem can be recreated with removable
media, where the files have just been written to the folder with
another program (in this case a bash backup script). In the first
instance I saw, removing the media and re-inserting it did not fix the
error. Sometimes the number of files will update part way though the
file transfer, but the total will stick at this figure and will not be
updated, even when the media is removed and re-inserted. This
occurred when the directory was also created by the same script doing
the copying.
