  check_gl_texture_size crashed with SIGSEGV in __libc_start_main()

Status in “gnome-desktop3” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  While this certainly can be duped to some previous reports am filing new to point out - 
  This happens seemingly at random with both restarts and log out/ins

  Additionally most of the symptoms that have been reported in this bug are also  present, as in no common admin permission.

  The only way to log out,  restart or shutdown  is as root
