I have this bug too, however I noticed I was able to open my video
folder, my Dropbox folder and my Ubuntu one folder.

Title:
  After opening "home folder" from the sidebar, selecting any other
  folder crashes Nautilus

Status in “nautilus” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
  Selecting another folder from the home folder just closes the window.
  No message is displayed, it just disappears.
  At the moment, this happens every time attempted even after a reboot
