Title:
  apt:package1,package2,package3 syntax doesn't work if USC is already
  open

Status in “software-center” package in Ubuntu:
  Triaged

Bug description:
  software-center-gtk3 trunk 2114, Ubuntu Ocelot
  software-center trunk r2457, Ubuntu 11.10 beta

  0. Launch Ubuntu Software Center.
  1. Go to this URL: apt:gobby,gimp,9base,abcd

  What happens: USC attempts to take focus, and shows a messaging saying
  'Not found' - 'There isn't a software package called
  "gobby,gimp,9base,abcd" in your current software sources.'

  What should happen: USC opens to "gobby,gimp,9base,abcd" in its search
  field, and the corresponding custom list in the main pane.

  <https://wiki.ubuntu.com/SoftwareCenter#custom-list>

  [This report previously covered the general case. It now works from a
  fresh launch, but not if USC is already open.]
