It looks like the problem only happens when Nautilus is maximized, and it's
still happening for me. Can you try checking again with Nautilus maximized?

  The text box that appears while typing to select a file in Nautilus
  covers up the status bar. Either the text box or status bar should be
  moved farther up on the screen so that both are visible.
