Title:
  software-center crashed with SIGABRT in raise()  Dash home=>Software
  centre (icon)=>Select colour palette viewer for installation from list
  of available programs displayed

Status in “software-center” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  Brand new install (today) of 11.10 beta 2. Updates loaded and installed. First thing tried. Navigated to colour profile viewer installation (see title). No error messages. Installation screen just faded away after about 15 sec delay. Expected package to install.
  New hardware: Sandybridge Proc, 8GB RAM, Vertex 3 120GB ssd.
