Message #30459
[Bug 869839] Re: LibreOffice Impress doesn't export images to PDF
** Description changed:
- LibreOffice in Ubuntu 11.04 32-bit doesn't export some images contained
- in slides when exporting to PDF. Attached is an example odp file with
- one slide. LibreOffice 3.3.4 (official Ubuntu version), and 3.4.2
- version from official site also, exports slide without image. On the
- other hand, OpenOffice 3.3 on Linux/Windows exports slide correctly.
+ 1) lsb_release -rd
+ Description: Ubuntu oneiric (development branch)
+ Release: 11.10
- Steps to reproduce bug:
- 1. Open attached MissingImage.odp file in LibreOffice 3.3.4/3.4.2 in 32-bit Ubuntu 11.04
- 2. Export to PDF
- 3. Image is missing in PDF
+ 2) apt-cache policy libreoffice-impress
+ libreoffice-impress:
+ Installed: 1:3.4.3-3ubuntu2
+ Candidate: 1:3.4.3-3ubuntu2
+ Version table:
+ *** 1:3.4.3-3ubuntu2 0
+ 500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ oneiric/main i386 Packages
+ 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status
+
+ apt-cache policy acroread
+ acroread:
+ Installed: 9.4.2.0-0oneiric2
+ Candidate: 9.4.2.0-0oneiric2
+ Version table:
+ *** 9.4.2.0-0oneiric2 0
+ 500 http://archive.canonical.com/ubuntu/ oneiric/partner i386 Packages
+ 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status
+
+ 3) What is expected to happen in Impress via the Terminal:
+
+ cd ~/Desktop && wget https://bugs.launchpad.net/df-
+ libreoffice/+bug/869839/+attachment/2522042/+files/MissingImage.odp &&
+ loimpress --nologo MissingImage.odp
+
+ Export to PDF and open in Adobe Reader is it looks the same.
+
+ 4) What happens instead is the image is missing. Occurs in Ubuntu 11.04
+ 32-bit LibreOffice 3.3.4 (official Ubuntu version), and 3.4.2.
+
+ WORKAROUND: OpenOffice 3.3 on Linux/Windows exports slide correctly.
