[Bug 870019] Re: suspend on idle behavior should be preseedable

could you run
- gsettings get org.gnome.settings-daemon.plugins.power sleep-inactive-ac-timeout
- gsettings get org.gnome.settings-daemon.plugins.power sleep-inactive-ac

what value do you get? (if you are on battery replace "ac" by "battery")

Title:
suspend on idle behavior should be preseedable

Status in “gnome-settings-daemon” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
The current default behavior of new installs is to suspend on idle.
While I would argue this isn't a great default, I understand why it
is. However, many computers do not suspend well (including qemu-
kvm/libvirt), and enterprise environments may want to disable the
behavior for any number of reasons. Suspend on idle should be a
preseedable debconf question (medium, to avoid prompts). This would
allow OEMs to better finetune the behavior as well.
