Title:
created a new user account and cannot log in to unity 3d anymore
Status in “gnome-session” package in Ubuntu:
New
Bug description:
I created a new user account in the normal, GUI way.
I then attempted to log into this user account, but it didn't work. I
got a terminal sort of screen briefly (the one you get if you hit F6
during bootup) and then it just went back to the log in screen.
I attempted to log in with my account, and it did log in, but Unity
did not load. I just had my wallpaper, with a "File Edit View" etc
bar at the top.
I could open a terminal with ctrl+alt+T to fire up ubuntu-bug and
chrome to file this bug.
Logging into Ubuntu 2d seems to work but not a normal "Ubuntu"
session.
