  new VPN doesnt show in applet menu until nm restart

Status in “network-manager” package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
  to replicate:

  left click applet
  VPN -> Configure
  add new VPN + close 
  left click applet
  new VPN not available in list

  restarting network-manager manually or with a reboot resolves this.
