Title:
No Ethernet after resume from sleep
Status in “network-manager” package in Ubuntu:
New
Bug description:
After suspending to RAM, when I restart the computer I have no ethernet connection.
The hardware is a Sony VAIO laptop. The KDE networkmanager applet shows 'cable unplugged' for the ethernet connection, but the cable is definitely connected.
Three further pertinent points:
1. If I sleep and then resume almost immediately, the problem does not occur. I have to leave the laptop in sleep mode for at least an hour
2. Doing a 'restart' from the KDE menu after this, the computer boots up with no network interface at all, except for loopback. I have to do a full shutdown-power off-restart cycle to get ethernet back
3. This is a regression, as it was definitely working about a week ago so some recent update has broken it
I'll attach the full syslog output later
