thank you for your bug report, is that specific to gedit? seems it could
rather be a compiz issue

  gedit cannot be closed using the x button on the top left part of the
  window

Bug description:
  When gedit is open, the only way to close it is by going to the menu
  and choosing quit. Clicking on the X button on the top of the window
  does not close gedit.
