Title:
[jaunty] doesn't offer to install codecs when inserting non encrypted
DVD
Status in “totem” package in Ubuntu:

Status in “totem” source package in Karmic:
Fix Released
Bug description:
Binary package hint: gnome-codec-install
On a fresh Jaunty beta i386 (dutch language), when inserting a non encrypted dvd, the program (gnome-codec-install) pops up and search for the codecs but doesn't find any codecs. If i recall it correct it indicated "dvd-source not found" and quits. I think it doesn't crash because i don't get an apport message.
I find this a regression, in intrepid it downloaded the correct packages.
I managed to get the dvd to work by downloading the necessary packages with synaptic.
I hope this will be fixed before the actual release because a new user will think it just doesn't work.
